Dear Friends of Music,
It is a pleasure to welcome you to the 2025 edition of Due Mondi, an international project dedicated to vocal excellence and artistic exchange.
Each year, Due Mondi brings together emerging operatic talents and acclaimed mentors to explore contrasting musical worlds—secular and sacred, old and new, East and West. This year’s focus invites a reflection on the cultural and musical influences of the Ottoman Empire on Western art, particularly within the realm of opera.
Our mission remains clear: to offer young singers an inspiring platform where technical growth, stylistic exploration, and cultural dialogue go hand in hand. Whether already working on stage or still in training, participants are welcomed at their individual level and supported in refining their artistic voice.
The name Due Mondi—Two Worlds—speaks to our core belief: that powerful music-making emerges when different traditions, aesthetics, and perspectives are invited to meet. By fostering that dialogue, we not only deepen musical understanding but also contribute to a broader conversation about the value of cultural exchange in today’s world.
In a time when global challenges continue to test our ability to listen and connect, we believe that music offers a unique path forward—one that crosses borders and unites hearts.
Due Mondi
Voice Masterclass - from 18 to 23 September
Symphonic Opera Lab from 25 to 28 September
in the Mozarteum International Foundation Salzburg
Symphonic Opera Lab
As an integral part of Due Mondi, the Symphonic Opera Lab focuses on preparing young opera singers for the realities of working with orchestra.
This intensive workshop complements the main masterclass by offering hands-on experience in orchestral rehearsals, conductor interaction, and real-time stage communication. Singers learn how to respond musically and professionally in rehearsal and concert settings—skills essential for any operatic career.
The Lab concludes with a final performance in the Große Saal of the Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg, giving participants the chance to apply their training in a high-profile, professional context.
By bridging the gap between the studio and the stage, the Symphonic Opera Lab equips emerging artists with the tools to thrive in today’s operatic world.
